Experience & Background
Trevor began his career as an astrophysicist, and has published extensively on applying techniques borrowed from the data science and machine learning literature to novel problems in the field. Since 2023, Trevor has been consulting with Rule 26 Experts, bringing his expertise in advanced, statistically grounded data analytics to his practice.
At Rule26 Experts, Trevor has worked on a wide range of cases, including issues involving theft of trade secrets, breach of contract, real estate valuation, and more. In all matters, Trevor merges his knowledge of cutting-edge data science and applied statistics with grounded econometric models in order to allow the data to speak for themselves.
Education
Trevor received his B.A. in Physics and Astronomy from Wesleyan University in 2015, and graduated with high honors. He earned his M.S. in Astronomy in 2016, before completing his Ph.D. in 2021. Trevor’s doctoral dissertation, “Small Samples No More: Probing the Evolution of Massive Stars” featured novel applications of Bayesian inference, time domain analysis, and machine learning to the study of rare astrophysical objects. In 2025, Trevor completed a prize postdoctoral fellowship at the Observatories of the Carnegie Institution for Science.
